Step 2: Back up and install Quicken 2013. Follow the on-screen instructions to install and convert your existing data file. From your desktop, double-click the newly downloaded file QW04DLX.exe. Select Save File, then browse to your desktop and save it there. Because of some of the challenges that can come with converting Quicken data to QuickBooks, it may be easier to start from a new file when switching to QuickBooks. QuickBooks can only convert Quicken for Windows files. You should make a backup of your Quicken data prior to any conversion or perform the conversion on a copy of your Quicken data. IMPORTANT: QFX2QIF is now replaced with the Transactions app, which converts from more formats and converts to more formats.
